the guest table
So we have our meals together with the other guests at a long table, indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather. In that way our guests can get to know each other and share the experiences of the day. After dinner you can spend the rest of the day sitting around a fire on the semi-covered terrace.
The dinner at La Tourelle will undoubtedly taste good. Tim is a professional cook who worked in Belgium and The Netherlands for years and now here he lets you enjoy sampling regional specialities and dinners from all over the world.
In recent years we have built up a good reputation with our meals, not only among our guests but also among the French. Out of season we also have regular dinners for and with our French acquaintances, their families and friends.
That is the idea behind our concept with its own style of coocking: no fuss, you eat what’s cooked. Pots and pans on the table, every day a surprise. Dishes and recipes from cultures all over the world, with a taste for Mediterranean cuisine.
Surprising Tapas,

and then ‘Tim’s Pies’, In the pubs in Groningen they knew their fame
Every year before or after the season we hunt for tasty wines, oils, dried tomatoes and more goodies on the table and in the glass.
We set off with the camper for the ‘Tour du Vin’. We Crossed France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
During those trips we visited dozens of vine-growers and could put our camper in the yard or in the vineyard.
We tasted quite a lot and so we always drove home with a (more than) full camper.
Estralinha, a fine Portuguese wine from the Quinta de Saes from the Serra d’Estrella,
In the Corbieres, we bought our white, rosé and red house wines.
At the Domaine du Bon Remède, at the foot of the Mont Ventoux, we found ‘Le secret du Vincent’.
In Italy we bought, besides dried tomatoes and mushrooms, a delicious Barbera d’Asti and a fantastic white wine from Bassano del Grappa and fine wines from Gino Pedrotti.
This is a small selection of what we came across along our way.
We are already looking forward to the next Tour du Vin …
